Keeping Abbotsford Warm in Winter and Cool in Summer

Abbotsford has cold, wet winters and hot summers. Some summer days go above 35°C, and wildfire smoke can make the air hard to breathe. Your heating and cooling system has to work well in all of this, and it has to keep working when the weather is at its worst.

We work on houses, townhouses, farms, shops, and offices across Abbotsford. This includes Clearbrook, Historic Downtown, Aberdeen, Eagle Mountain, McMillan, Auguston, and Sumas Prairie. Whether your property is in town or out on a farm road, our team can come to you.

Before any work begins, our technician visits your property and checks your current heating and cooling system. We explain which option fits your building best and tell you the full cost. We also help with BC heat pump rebates. We check the latest rules, get your papers ready, and help you apply.

Our Services

One experienced team for the systems that keep your home and workplace comfortable, efficient, and powered.

Residential HVAC Services in Abbotsford

Homes in Abbotsford come in all shapes and sizes. Some are big family houses with a basement and a shop out back. Others are newer townhouses with a small room for the furnace and hot water tank. Each home needs its own kind of setup.

We check your home size, your ducts, and how you use each room. Then we suggest a system that fits. We can swap an old gas furnace for a heat pump, add cooling to a home that has none, or fix a system that keeps breaking down.

Whether you need a new furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump, or your system has stopped working well, we can help. Our team checks your current setup, explains your choices in simple words, and completes the work.

Commercial HVAC Services in Abbotsford

Abbotsford has many farms, food businesses, warehouses, and shops. Some of them need more than heating and cooling. Coolers, freezers, and walk-in fridges must stay at the right temperature all day, or stock can go bad.

We install and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems for offices, restaurants, retail stores, and food businesses. We can also set up regular checkups, so small problems are found early. That way you do not lose stock or sales.

We plan our work around your business hours where we can, so your day is not disturbed for long. If something stops working in the middle of a busy week, call us. We will tell you what is wrong and how soon we can fix it.

Why Choose Mendieta ACS?

Mendieta ACS has 19 years of HVAC experience with homes and businesses. Our team works on heating, cooling, fresh air, refrigeration, and air quality for all kinds of properties. We first look at your current system and learn what is wrong or what you want done. Then we explain your options in easy words. Whether you need a new system, a repair, a replacement, or an upgrade, we choose work that suits your building and your budget.

We also help with BC rebates for eligible upgrades. We tell you which rebates you can get today, check if you meet the rules, and help you with the forms and the application. Rebate rules can change, so we always check the latest ones before we start. We gather the papers you need, fill in the forms with you, and send in the application. If the program asks for more details later, we help with that too. We have worked on many homes and businesses in Abbotsford and across the Lower Mainland. So you can work with one team for installation, repairs, replacement, and rebate help.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a great experience with Mendieta AC Services, who swapped our old gas furnace for a heat pump/air handler. Their team was incredibly friendly, approachable and flexible. There were lots of moving parts with our install related to other contractors and renovations going on, but Mendieta was very accommodating and made it work. Their price was very competitive, and they worked hard to earn our business when we were deciding between two companies. We were also dealing with the sudden change to the provincial rebate program, and Mendieta quickly provided the rebate program with all the extra documentation needed, as well as ensured a speedy install so we would get our rebate before the deadline. The install itself was clean and when a certain part didn't fit, they came back the next day with a custom fabricated piece. We did have an issue with the AC the week after install but one of their techs came out and got it fixed for us- we've had no issues since then and are loving our cool home during the summer heat!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience with Mendieta.

Sunith came and diagnosed the issue with my heat pump and later was provided with a quote.

After approved, Sunith can and performed the work to address the faulty installation of a precious HVAC company.

All in all it was a great experience with Mendieta.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a heatpump with 4 heads installed by Mendieta and they gave us amazing service from start to finish! Our house was trickier than expected and they ended up taking 4 full days. The technicians and owner were very friendly and always on time every morning they worked on our house, there were sometimes 5 people working at once. Very hard working team and professional. The ac is cold, quiet, looks good and we’re super happy! The price is affordable compared to other companies we got quotes from. Would recommend them to anyone to install a heatpump. Thanks again 😃

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are very grateful to the Mendieta team for their excellent work with our AC install. Ours was a big job, with 6 min-splits installed into a complicated space. We were very impressed with the solutions-oriented approach Freddy and his team took when encountering the unexpected challenges that arose with our install, problem-solving and offering the best options to ensure we were satisfied. They are all very professional and genuinely kind individuals, and it was a pleasure to have them work in our home.

I highly recommend Mendieta Air Conditioning.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a very complicated commercial refrigeration issue at our Freshslice Pizza location, and the team at Mandieta Air Conditioning Services did an outstanding job from start to finish.

They responded quickly, took the time to properly diagnose the problem, and didn't just offer a temporary fix—they identified the root cause and resolved it professionally. Their knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, attention to detail, and commitment to getting everything working correctly were truly impressive.

Throughout the process, they kept us informed, were honest about the work required, and ensured minimal disruption to our business. It's not easy finding a contractor you can trust, but Mandieta ACS has definitely earned ours.

I highly recommend Mandieta Air Conditioning Services to any business looking for reliable, knowledgeable, and professional HVAC and refrigeration experts. Thank you for helping us get back up and running!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This company has friendly hard working people who took the time and effort to take us on when we were left in a jam with our original AC installer and given incorrect maintenance info. Everyone from the Admin staff (Gabriella) to our friendly hard working technician (Sunith) and even the Owner took time to phone personally when I had questions. They worked hard to accommodate schedules and questions about maintenance packages. Sunith took the time to show us what he was working on and unfortunately had to contend with a bigger than normal job due to our original installer's negligence. They are on Lennox's recommended service provider list on their website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I repair or replace my HVAC system in Abbotsford?

If your system is fairly new and the problem is small, a repair is usually enough. If it is old, breaks often, or your energy bills keep going up, a new system can save money. We inspect it first and tell you which option is better.

How much does a heat pump cost in Abbotsford?

The price depends on your home size, the type of heat pump, and whether you have ducts. One mini split for a small home costs less than a full system for a big home. You get a written quote before any work starts.

How long does an HVAC installation take?

A new AC unit or hot water tank can often be done in one day. A full heat pump system or a mini split with many indoor units can take several days. We tell you the time before we begin.

Do you offer emergency service if my furnace stops working?

Yes. Call (604) 802-1109 and tell us what is wrong. A furnace that stops working in winter is a priority, and we send a technician as soon as we can.

Can you help with air quality during wildfire smoke?

Yes. Good filters, air cleaners, and an ERV or HRV system keep smoke, dust, and pollen out of your home. They also bring in fresh air.

Do you work on commercial coolers and walk-in fridges?

Yes. We repair and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems for restaurants, food businesses, and shops. If your cooler stops working, call us right away to protect your stock.
